Factors That Affect Final Pricing
Why ranges exist — these are the variables that push your quote toward the low or high end.
Surface Condition
Walls with damage, failed prior paint, or smoke/nicotine residue need extra prep — adds time and material.
Ceiling Height
Rooms with ceilings over 9 feet need scaffolding and add roughly 15–25% to labor cost.
Color Change
Dark-to-light changes may need an extra primer coat. Bold accent colors may need 3 coats for full coverage.
Trim Complexity
Crown molding, wainscoting, and intricate trim take longer than flat baseboards and doors.
Paint Tier
Upgraded lines (SW Emerald, BM Aura) add $50–$100 per gallon above our standard premium paint.
Homes built before 1978 require EPA Lead-Safe containment. No extra cost from us — we're EPA Lead-Safe Certified (NAT-F308152-1).
